چکیده

According to classical dogma, the central nervous system (CNS) is defined as an immune privileged space. The basis of this theory was rooted in incomplete understanding CNS microenvironment, however, recent advances such identification resident dendritic cells (DC) brain and presence lymphatics have deepened our neuro-immune axis revolutionized field neuroimmunology. It now understood that many pathological conditions induce response CNS, ways, immunologically distinct organ. Hyperactivity can lead primary neuroinflammatory diseases multiple sclerosis antibody-mediated encephalitis, whereas immunosuppressive mechanisms promote development survival tumors. On therapeutic front, attempts are being made target pathologies using various forms immunotherapy. One most actively investigated areas immunotherapy for treatment glioblastoma (GBM), common tumor adults. In review, we provide up date overview steady state discuss underlying neuroinflammation autoimmune disease well progression addition, detail current interactions characterize microenvironment implications on successful strategies malignancies.
